On Sunday, October 19, Lourdes College’s Speaker Series returns with guest speakers Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker.
Eikenberry and Tucker, best known for their roles on the four time Emmy-winning show LA Law, will present “Destined to Live,” which first appeared as a NBC documentary featuring cancer survivors including former first-lady Nancy Reagan. Their presentation will stress the importance of breast cancer education, early detection, research and treatment.
As Ann Kelsey and Stuart Markowitz on NBC’s LA Law, Eikenberry and Tucker earned a combined seven Emmy nominations, four Golden Globe nominations and one Golden Globe award. In 1986, Eikenberry was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, she and Tucker, who have been married for 35 years, have remained dedicated to telling their important story to audiences around the world.
