faculty to teach in Hungary as part of GLC's American Summer Institute

This summer, two Lourdes faculty members have been invited to teach courses in Hungary as part of the Great Lake’s Consortium’s (GLC) American Summer Institute. Dr. Dariel Jacobs, Director of the Adolescence to Young Adult Education program and Assistant Professor of Education, and Dr. Paul Longenecker, Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies, will teach in Szeged, Csongrad and Veszprem, Hungary, over a three week period beginning June 25.

Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Longenecker will stay with host families during their trip and will instruct a group of Hungarian teachers and students on global learning and the English language. While in Hungary, both faculty members will also continue work on individual research projects focusing on global learning perspectives through fostering relationships with Hungarian colleges and universities.

While in Hungary, Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Longenecker will also be blogging about their experience on Lourdes College’s interactive website www.LourdesWorld .com. Through their blog on Lourdesworld, they will be able to share real-time details and reflections on their trip as well as personal photos.
