Phography Tips from Bruce Works of Photo Works, Inc.
Photo Works, Inc.Point & Shoot Tips:
  • Be creative.
  • Take lots of photos.
  • Major events in your life present wonderful photo opportunities (such as college graduation). Sometimes before and after the actual event is the best time for pictures. For instance, you and your friends or family getting ready for graduation could be a great time for photos.
  • Avoid posed pictures; shoot what is actually happening.
  • Shoot most of your photos with the lens either zoomed in or out all the way.
  • When shooting indoors, turn your flash off and experiment with high ISO settings. The photographs will be very grainy but will have a much more real look.

  • My wife Gail and I have three children, with the oldest in his freshman year of college.

Professional Photography Tip:
  • Get a college degree -- really, no kidding, this is extremely important!
About Lourdes:
  • Lourdes students have been terrific to photograph. It always amazes me how many students show up to be photographed for the Lourdes brochures and website -- thanks!
