Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority--TARTA--has been the "Ride of Toledo" since 1971. TARTA has over 40 routes in and around the Toledo metropolitan area serving nine communities and carries almost 5 million passengers each year.

"Riding public transportation (we could insert TARTA) is one of the most significant actions you can take to reduce your household carbon emissions." (Source: American Public Transportation Association)

Every TARTA bus is 100% wheelchair- accessible and equipped with bicycle racks. TARTA’s other innovations include Call-A-Ride service in 6 different communities, biodiesel fuel use, and service to Fifth Third Field for all Toledo Mud Hens home baseball games. Schedules for all TARTA routes are available in the Lourdes College Student Center and on the TARTA website. Route information is available by calling 419-243-RIDE (7433) weekdays 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
